Boston Whaler type thingies........

Dearest panel of 'ardboaters,

I am shortly departing the shores of dear old blighty for the blue waters of Atlantic Canada. An' I'm not coming back neiver.

All being well next year I might be looking for a towable (which in the land of monster 4x4 trucks gives me quite some leeway) offshore capable powerboat. Natch my first choice would be a RIB of course but in Canada they're as rare as rocking horse droppings so probably it'll 'ave to be an 'ardboat.:aaahhh:

I quite like them Boston Whaler thingies being roughty toughty and unsinkable. Anyone every owned one/been in one/once seen one/knows a bloke who once saw one? Are they any good? Any other alternatives worth considering (info from our transatlantic cousins gratefully received?)

We're talking wilderness cruising here so probably twins and good seakeeping are a must.

Congratulations on emigrating to Canada.

We was thinking of emigrating to Vancouver a couple of years back.

Great Country, Great People, Boating is popular too along with hunting, fishing, skiing, skidooing, off-roading, trail riding and shagging.

I think you might have a spot of bother with your boating though!

Canadiens like sailing, Big Monster Powerboating or aluminium bass boating. There are no toobs cos the Canadiens reckon their shite, sports fishers are popular though.

Boston Whaler! Mmmmmm not even sure if youd find one there.

To small for to do any thing in.

Where abouts are you going to settle?

Akershally, St John's is on the same latitude as Paris so doesn't get monster cold or monster hot. Summers 'bout the same as UK. Winters 'bout -10 with plenty of snow so a Skidoo is on the wish list along with a Whaler:D

I do work in the plugs and sockets field but not in a teckinal product sense and only til the end of Oct. Then I'm gonna be a big man in fish:D
