A youtube video of the race. A wide and very flat river, just perfect conditions for a selection race for the Belgian canals.

Not sure where you get your information cus it wearnt no river and the choppy water and ocean swells made it far from being flat.

Wayne skied awesome, boat trouble ruled him out 1 race. all 5 F1 teams skied at WC level, any 3 could make the cut.

I know Wayne had boat problems. He's not having much luck recently what with hitting a log and damaging his ski in the S80.

It does looks like a flat, wide river in the video. Certainly nothing like a canal!

As far as I can understand the Belgium ski-race website the final Worlds race at Viersel will be the "Diamond Race". I don't know if that means everyone can join in :aaahhh: like a European Cup race or there will be another race scheduled earlier in the season?

Wasn't that the same in 1995, Belgium had the worlds and there was no Diamond race that year?

My information source has it as the last round of Worlds and Diamond combined, so Diamond entries will be restricted to those in the Worlds race ie, no lower formulas etc. I cannot see Viersel putting on a seperate race.
But then again it could wrong, ask Mike Waterman this weekend at the forum.

The German team has a very professional website with a lot of sponsors names.

nope . . . . helps but you still got to hang on on for 35 mins, plus a lap, 50mins plus a lap or Worlds, 1hr plus a lap. Thats in condtions ranging from smooth (ish) to rough as, to skiing in a washing machine . . . . its not fun in the latter . . . . but worth it for the party after

I have been recommended four websites for cheap ferries. Might be worth a look.

www.ferrycheap.co.uk
www.cheap4ferries.com
www.ferrysavers.co.uk
www.aferry.co.uk

With the French race now looking much more likely for the weekend after the Worlds final, it would be good to see some of the teams travelling down.
