yep i have heard these to penarth ski club is still up and running with some new blood for next season there is supposed to be a cardiff bay waterski club but the only time that any one can ski is friday afternoon or saturday morning
i will try and find out some more info on this subject

Penarth water ski club is up and running, Penarth water ski club operate inside Cardiff bay on Friday afternoons and sat mornings. alot of the members choose not to launch there at penarth for some apparent reason. Most of the members that are ski racing use penarth slip way. the bay seems to have taken off really well and members prefer to ski in the bay.
