C29 SOLD
HI Chaps

Just to let you know the Backdraft has now been sold now have the space for the new toy 'Mavrick' Neil lewis's old rig. Will be with me sortly, ready for a winter refurb she needs a little TLC
but mainly a dam good clean, so its out with the Mr Sheen.

Be good to talk to you Cookee as we obviously have a common interest in the same rigs. Plus need to figure out what the hell I have let myself in for, I gather our two boats are a little different handeling wise. Be good if you would drop me an email with your telephone number so I can call you.

Regards to you all

Hi Chaps

Don't know about cowes-torquay-cowes / CB 1, who is CB1 ??
would be good to get the low down from a former crew member !

The chap that now has my old Backdraft plans to do some basic races next year, I will be helping him as must as poss, just like you all did when I first started.

At this moment in time Ray will be racing with me next year subject to sorting a few things out.
Finally the boat will be with me this week, so I will post some pics asap. (before winter re-furb)

Regards

Andy

Yes I did do C/T/C in Maverick and I can promise you all that I wouldnt get back in it if it was the last boat on earth!!! Been in loads of different types of boats, but that one takes the biscut!! Even more uncomfortable than a 17'1 1/2'' dory, with a 140 on the back, Standing up, driving 1 handed and throttling with the other, in a force 8!!! The soft tissue injuries are healed, but the scars are still there!!
