You cant see a whole lot in the add; but i'm sure Cye and some of the local boys must Know this boat.
If it starts, surely any 21 + V6 has got to be worth the asking?

a bit like the captain. first he's getting an engine then he aint then he is and so on

its quite an old P21 cus its got the riveted screen I'm sure Jon or johnny will know when they changed.
I spoke to him a few weeks ago and i know he wants around £4500 for it so i bet it gets taken off ebay before the end unless it makes that kind of money.

Its an 87.
Captain Chaos
25-11-2004, 05:18 PM
i think circa 89 was the change. but i'm prob wrong. When i have a functioning boat, I'm going to pester the life out of JF to help do a Phantom owners website.
zzzzz time my trusty late night friend!
Captain Chaos
25-11-2004, 05:20 PM
i'll rephrase that......i'll help him
JamesM
25-11-2004, 05:21 PM
and that XRI is 200hp not 220. they call em 220's but there not.
Captain Chaos
25-11-2004, 05:43 PM
out of interest you got a mph figure for it?
Burty
25-11-2004, 05:46 PM
its good for 70mph
it was as fast as johnnys red one
JamesM
25-11-2004, 05:51 PM
fort you gps'd it at low 60's
I only did 70 once, one up in mirror flat conditions. Most of the time 65-67 two up is more realistic for RedDevil. When I raced him it was a bit choppy and I was unbalanced cause I was on my own.
Burty
25-11-2004, 05:52 PM
and you had fuel starvation:dizzy:
JamesM
25-11-2004, 05:54 PM

JamesM

It looks like the face lift model, ie' it has the MkII deck, and the MkIII hull, so it's on the change-over from MkII to MkIII.
Re: Mr Chaos's comments about a Phantom club/site, I will do something, need to have a chat with someone first.

Chat away Gingerboy.........
A certain domain may come in handy, perhaps i could arrange some hosting?
Captain Chaos
26-11-2004, 04:07 AM
I was thinking more in terms of the fact that i sorted some hosting for the old man, basically to have unlimited email addresses.
Can see there being much use for the webspace other than with it!
Thought that if said site required a gallery.......it may need large space and thus we could use some of me quota

Erm no I meant that when I'm on my own in my boat it lands funny cause all the weight is on one side and he didn't beat me I just couldnt get away.
And your right it has the old deck but all the spray rails go all the way to the transom.

that was a cheap boat, had it been resprayed do you think?
Captain Chaos
29-11-2004, 05:49 AM
I've seen plenty of Phantoms in that powdery blue, so i'd guess not.
Who would choose to respray in that colour?

Nope it is gel coat with vinyl stickers. The gel coat is a bit faded but you would be hard pressed to find a crack in it anywhere, which for an '87 is good going.

To be honest I was suprised he let it go for that much, he may be pulling an ebay swifty and that might be his mate that bought it if you see what I mean.

Capatin what about tampax the blue would look nice with your white boat. We could call you a pussy!
Would be better on a bat boat though - now with wings as Claire rainer used to say!

I wasnt taking the piss out ya GRAFIX! I love all that stuff.....Martini & repsol especially. But i ws insinuating i'd be unoriginal and plainly steel your style.
Also, yours was a race boat so its ok to have that stuff on it.........I think i'd feel a nobba if i had it and just pretended i was hard!

Going to do the basic on the river thames at Alllhallows in April (other side of the Thames from Leigh-on-sea)will your boat be finished for then?
We could settle it the old fashioned way - in a race :duell: :D

to make it fair, you'd have to have a cement mixer (full) in the boat with you!
Captain Chaos
29-11-2004, 09:24 AM
If the race orginisers supply the wooden spoon (and also some valium for my co pilot).
Dont be silly i'm a bender!
