Had a meeting with Gill Scott & Binni yesterday. I reckon that this jaunt out on Friday will be a blast. Obviously hope the weather is kind to us, but we're only popping around the Solent, nothing to ambitious. Down to Newtown, Osbourne bay etc, so really just an excuse to blow out the cobwebs and make sure everything still works.

The Treasure hunt bit should spice it up and an afternoon Tea & Cake party at the yard should finish things off nicely before the evening chills things down, so bring along some goodies to munch on (it's a 'bring your own' affair).

So come on, make the effort, get out on the water with us on Friday.

I ran my Pig Iron yesterday, and everything appears to be ok, so I'm 'good 2 Go'.

We also discussed setting up a regular (once a month) Drivers club BBQ evening to try and maintain some good social continuity throughout the summer, what are the general thoughts on that?

Renegade

Great idea on the monthly meet. See you there friday. What time are we looking to start?

So what is the score down at drivers?? I know there's a few nice boats there, but seems to be expensive to come out and play for the day? Am I wrong??

Captain Chaos
04-01-2011, 04:34 PM
Drivers is expensive relative to slipping your 20ft skiboat down the local ramp. But the storage and craneage are well priced. Above all its a quite a laugh down there. Gill, Gareth and the rest of the team do thier level best to accomodate everyone.

The Poker Runs etc are great fun.

There is as CC says a local slip under the bridge but also quite a few reasonable other places to launch for trailered boats around southampton water and hamble too. All the best, paul
