OK,
I went down the Old Courthouse today and confirmed/paid for, the function room for the 8th January.
As mentioned before, the aim has been to keep the price for the room hire and food to around £10.00 per head.
I now have a copy of the finger buffet menu, which is as follows:
BBQ Drumsticks
Chicken Satay and Peanut Sauce
Dimsums and Marie Rose Sauce
Quiche
Sandwiches (various)
Cocktail Sausages
Sausage Rolls
Onion Rings & Goujons
Cheese & Pineapple
Vol au Vents
Cheese & Pickled Onion
French Bread
Selection of Cheeses
Obviously, the cost per head depends on the final number attending.
based on the above menu, if we get 30 people, which I hope we can, the price will be £10.50 each.
Now, whilst I've already paid for the room, I need to give the venue cofirmation on numbers to cater for, and payment for that, so I'm gonna need some commitment as soon as possible from those intending to come ..PLEASE!
For all you old sea dogs, who wanna navigate there the old way, the Old Courthouse is at:
51.17.30.2 N
000.46.03.1 W

I have access to the room at 4pm (to set up some video bollix)
The room/it's bar, officially opens at 7.30pm, but early comers (I've heard it's ones of Matts little problems! :speechles :sperm: ) can take to the main pub bar for a drink or two to get revved up.
The bar closes at 11.45pm, and we've gotta be out pretty sharp, so it'll be 'round to Matts' for the coffees :D

I'm gonna lace up a load of boating stuff with humourous stuff inbetween, and we'll just run it continuous, like wallpaper.
It's really just a good excuse to have a meet up n get to know a few nobbers from the forum, with a bit of fun with some vids.
We won't be showin any of Loz n Matts home made gay porn stuff! :sperm:

Is everyone ready for the event of the year?
It's dawned on me that some of you may have some good powerboat footage yourselves, if so, feel free to bring it along, and we'll run it/copy it, as appropriate :D

Who made these as kids?
I reckon anyone who fancies a challenge, should build/prepare a cotton reel tank, to present at the video night for scrutineering for a wee 'sprint' over a set distance, say, a yard!
Any takers?

It was great to meet up again with old friends and meet the people behind the silly forum names. But we're lightweights so didn't go to Matt & Vix's. Thanks to Jon & Matt for organising the evening. Some great footage Jon - especially enjoyed seeing Gav71 on film and thanks for allowing Blue Ice to put in an appearance (albeit a brief one as you roared past us  - and I hear you were only up 'til 4amish editing it together! Something about recording for 2 hours before finding out it hadn't recorded!
Looking forward to seeing the photos!
