Bren sent me a PM with a link to this on E bay...
It's my old raceboat that Jonny and I raced in 97.
I think the seller may be on drugs, or he's managed to build himself a 3000hp lambo motor.
Description Seller assumes all responsibility for listing this item.
Condition: Used
28' Extreme Powerboat, built by Ring Powercraft. Fitted with V12 Lamborghini engine.
This is an awesome piece of machinery. It is one of the most powerful / fastest powerboats in the UK. Capable of speeds in the region of 120mph ( If you have the nerve! )
The vessel is in the south west and comes complete with trailer and cover. There is an extensive number of spare parts with the vessel.
The vessel will need a little work for the new season as the interior has been stripped back for replacement and she will need the stern drive alligning.
I have priced her at a "give away" price as I have four other powerboats and simply don't have the time or the space anymore.
This vessel is not for the faint hearted, she's an awesome machine and should be treated with great respect!!
Happy bidding.

Dude that boat has be sat at DB Marine in taunton for the last 2 years, DB has moved recently and don't think he has the room at his new premises. He originally wanted 18k for it without a prop

Yeh, I know a bit about it, I spoke to the guy next door to DB about a year ago, I think he was a Jock! He wanted to buy 6 26's from me to sell in Holland, I got the impression he was a bit of a dreamer, told me he owned DB.
After we finished the 97 season we put it into storage, as there was talk that Jonny and a mate were gonna do another season, but after a couple of years we stripped the boat to a shell, and I swapped it for an old 2.5 efi merc.
The guy who had it off me put a very old Lambo in it, but it wasn't as quick as when we had the chevy v8 in it!
It's only claim to fame as a v12 was closing down the Cowes pits area whilst the fire brigade filled it with foam as the fuel tank had split during the race, and they'd been led to believe that it contained avgas!
did you build the boat tony?

dont know the full story but as far as i know this is how it goes,
DB was owned by Dave Brockington hence the name
he then sold it to one of his employee's called john someone
a few years later the scottish guy came onboard to do boat sales
he lasted around 4 to 6 months and the dissappeared leaving john in the shit.
john has since recently moved to new premesis

Yeh, We'd decided not to race in 97 coz we were pissed off with the RYA, but after spectating at the first race of the season we decided to build a new boat.
We worked like demons to get the boat finished for the second race, and actually finished it at around 3am, with a bit of messing about in the pits a few hours later.
The boat was very quick, but tended to bite back every so often, hence jonnies neck problem, and my still aching shoulder.
The transom and screen were carbon fibre, although it was only behind clear gel for effect, and to fool the chumps. We got several complaints from people who thought the boat was entirely constructed with the stuff, as we had also finished all the interior with a very fine woven cloth and black resin.
To the brain dead it did actually look like real carbon!

I have to wonder what condition the transom is in. Looks like the current owner never bothered to seal the old exhaust holes when he ran the new pipes over the top.

Too Old,
It's an ally Cougar cat, so no wood in the transom. Originaly called 'Goldrush', then later re-named 'Waterfront'.
It has sat around for many years on the south coast, a pal of mine was involved with it during it's last incarnation.
I think the motor is a Nickleson-Maclaren.
