... just a try ....
anyone has a used Jack Plate that will take a 200HP engine (Merc) for sale?
I've been looking around a bit, but there is not really a big market on this side of the big pond.
If you have a good source in Europe for new ones that's welcome as well. Unfortunately the ones I found so far were kind of pricy compared to the US.
Importing all the stuff is lying heavy on my wallet as well.

The dodgy lookin geezer in the attached photo told me he had two 'Land and Sea' jackplates in his work shop. I think he said £500 each. That may seem like a lot but 'Land and Sea' jackplates are the bollox and are well over a grand new!!!
I'm sure some here knows his Boatmad name so you can pm him if you want one.

:well:
yeah bloody midlanders!
I have recently been in contact with Stainless Marine in the USA. Their lifters are very competively priced with the exchange rate at the mo. Looking at £625 including tax and shipping for lifter minus pump. Not a bad price. If you are watching the pennies I have the one Im replacing which needs some work. Pm me and I'll give you my details.

I run 7.5" on my P20 and all is well
a standard CMC jack plate is 5.5"
a second hand manual lift shouldn't cost more than 150 to 200 quid
