Who reckons they'll have their boats going by/still going, for the weekend of September 10/11?

Honda have a F4SA race in Guernsey that weekend! :seaman:  :bolt:

It always used to be a great venue, well worth a trip over. (as long as it's 'Ray-Ban' weather!)

Don't team up with R-Don or you'll only be going at 25 knots.

re-fuel at Yarmouth, and again at Cherbourg or Alderney.

Fuel will be cheaper at Alderney although you need to be there at a decent part of the tide.

Poole -> Alderney is 58nm and then Guernsey is about an hour from there.

Count me in!

Cheers

just had a better look, it's 120 statute miles from Town Quay Southampton.

25 to Needles

70 from Needles to Alderney

25 from Alderney to St Peter port.

I'm going to cheat. Aurigny Airlines Gatwick to Guernsey! (about £50 return).

My mate in Guernsey now has a Sunseeker and rang me today to invite me over, (he saw this post)

P.S unleaded is currently 51p a litre over there.

How about a Gouliot Passage (between Brecqhou and Sark) challenge!

Highest boat out the water buys the beers?

Steve Bourne trying on an earlier attempt.

Hey Jon, where did you go today? we came back up southampton water a few minutes after we saw you, and you were nowhere to be seen! ..I reckon you swanned into Hamble, probably largin it up at the Jolly Sailor or summet, but we couldn't see you.

Jolly Sailor! Not me!

Nah, went up the Hamble for some go go juice, then over to cowes, down to Ryde, across to the Portsmouth Eye, back into Southampton water and then back to Shamrock Quay just before the rain came in.

Not a bad run, a mixture of sea states followed by a race with the passenger ferry up Southampton water.

Just a quick fix to see me through another week of work.

Weather could have been better though.

Sounds like you all had a good time Saturday night. I was intending on turning up, but after getting caught in the Football traffic when i left Shamrock quay on Saturday afternoon, it left me with the right hump.

It took me 45mins to get from Shamrock Quay to the itchen bridge! and i had another 45 mins to go before i got home got changed and then came back again!

Southampton has been completely F**ked up by the City Council ever since i can remember.

The sooner i can get a berth at Bucklers Hard the better, only 15 mins from home. Trouble is there is a 3 year waiting list! and its expensive, but worth it to me i guess.

So, spill the beans Jon, which one of your hoe's polished your boat to mirror perfection then?

All my own work Mr Don, but to honest, it always looks shiney, coz I've never given it a chance go dull, plus it is only 4 years old, and always had an all-over cover, so the glass still has a pretty good natural lustre.

As the nobs on RIBnit like to call me,.. 'Jonny the Wax'! (amongst other things) fkkn nobbers!
