how many thrust washers can i fit between shaft and prop on xr2? ive just tried to fit lazer 2 prop and when nut was tightened up there was about 1/4 inch of play on prop:angry:

Well you shouldn't have any play but you can fit as many washers as you like so long as the taper fits on the shaft and the shoulder on the washer is a snug fit on the prop.

You need to have the thrust washer made for the Prop!

If you don't, then you are likely to get movement as you have now which will at the least result in damage to the gearbox casing and at worst will blow the rubber prop bush on your prop, or worse still if you have solid hubs could blow your gearbox!

I would suggest taking your prop to Propeller revolutions in Poole to get one made!

hi guys, i got a hifive prop on alpha one leg and my prop moves back and forward by about 8mm, it always has so ignored it, is it wrong, if so how do i resolve it?

just the prop moves, the recess on the back of the prop sits into the leg if you pull th prop it move 5 maybe 8mm

From the front of the shaft, to the threaded end what do you have, in order.

I wonder if you're were short of a component, thats being assumed that you have.
