Can people give me an idea if an engine like that its a good one or not.

Don't know about the engine but the dealer is reasonably well respected from what I can gather. His workshop is like an Aladdins cave of old outboards and bits.

Captain Chaos will have more idea of what you can get for your money.

i'd certainly not pay £3000 for a 15-20 year old jonny

dont touch it parts are a nightmare to come by, it took over 4 months to get some bits for an engine i had ,they aren't the most economical engine either.

Seems very expensive, especially as the newest that engine can be is 1985 - the last year of production. Production started in the 70's so that engine might be very old.

Granted, I recently paid £6,842 for two 88 Evinrude 225s but that included the 31 foot boat they are attached to.
