Bit of a delicate situation , went out with the missus and kids in the Extreme for the day on bank holiday monday , 3 Females all needing a wee .So the conversation went over to "can we have a Porta Potti in the boat , as you guys can hang it out over the side (sorry)"

So - the question is

Is it a good idea to have a porta potti in a power boat ??

If so , what sort ??

Not too many jokes please

I have the same issue. IMHO, if ya have to have it, it wants to be one that pumps out into the briney to avoid getting mocking birds on the headlining while underway in the wobbly stuff.

You have to carry the lumpy stuff with you or be 6 or 12 miles offshore before dumping can't remember which it is!

See that pic of Gav's well I've got friends who swear by a juice (pop) bottle cut into a smooth curve and carefully made to fit. Apparently it's leak proof, no pun intended.

I think the general rule here is only No 1's at sea , you are never more than 15 mins from a tie up and a public loo down here in Lyme bay so as long as you have warning (you know what i mean) you should make it a dry un !

I was looking at Porta Potti's and just wondered what happens when it has been used and you are back underway ? what stops it from leaking ??
