Graham,

'course i tried to buy a ring 1st.....Mike happilly quoted me....then just cut the moulds up.

Mr Baker told me in plain english that he didnt think a Phantom was the right boat for me....which was awefully decent of him

now look where i am!

I still can't get this 'Lovely Ring' thing out of my mind Lawrence!....I think you should clear this thing up a bit

Captain Chaos

(1) if your being a dirty boy, shame on you Mr Fuller!
(2) if your concerned that with my pending purchase, i still refer to them as 'nice rings', thats coz i still think they are aesthetically brill (niotice my recent increased use of misspelt flashy words?)....especially the '20 @ my ski-club in bright pink........that must have been done for a gag!!

its called extacy!:booty: :booty:

Captain Chaos - generally I have been well pleased with the Ring21, the build quality seems robust and the cosmetic aspects are largely OK, although there some minor imperfections in isolated areas when it was pulled from the mould.

The colour scheme is another thing, wanted to avoid blue and red as they seem to oxidise too readily, although this may no longer be a problem with current pigments but don't know. Agreed on dark purple and dark grey as the contrasting colours, although it ended up being a little too pink !

Mine is the wide bodied version, which Mike still makes. I would be interested to compare the handling and performance to the narrower Ring 20.

Are you any closer to choosing a boat :tea:

Captain Chaos
24-05-2004, 06:36 AM
chosen,

let you all know as soon as its concrete

Captain Chaos
24-05-2004, 07:36 AM
i've had a final mood swing, gone for a 12 tonne concrete dredger....650hp.....4 knotts!

i'm waiting for a PR in force 10!

and i suppose you think your a bloody comedian:duell: :facelick: :worthy:  :moon: :)

MIssus is a good boat driver and I do reckon the waverider hulls. I can't speak about Pauls driving cos I've only been out with em a dozen or so times and I haven't yet seen Paul at the wheel.

Anyway Kathleen you seem to be doing an excellent job of bringing the boat owners together on the water. Perhaps you should start up your own gang MIBOA
