I've just had a very interesting conversation with a chap from Newcastle who's putting together a 38 Scarab with a 1600hp French helicopter Gas Turbine:aaahhh:

It's gonna drive through a splitter gearbox and a pair of Arneson ASD8's.
The boat is the ex Drambuie record boat, originally fitted with 650hp Gentry turbo's/Mk 4 Speedmasters, which then became 'Quiver', John Millers pleasure boat, then Class II and I racer Ken Thorne bought the boat shortly before going bust.
The chap has been working on the project for three years and hopes to get it wet late this season (like me lol)

He's gonna join the forum and post some pics, no doubt Matt will be firing questions at him like he's never experienced!

Good idea, there's a pair of V8 diesels sitting in Shep, could you pick these up on the way through. Seems a shame they are just sat there and not being used.

Think they are from the former "Levi Thong"
