How long should a Distributor cap and Rotor arm last on a V6 Merc and whats the likely replacement cost?

ROTOR ASSY 13524A 6 £ 6.39

Don't really know how long they should last, but that's the Mercruiser retail price .

Probably get them cheaper from Keypart!!!!
