Stop Press!!!
The opening sequence of Lords of the Rings 1V was shot tonight at a Top Secret Location in the Solent Area,
The Jackeens happened upon the stars of the show Legless and Billygo Baggins acting out the dramatic opening sequence completing an epic voyage in possession of the Ring.
Muttering 'My Precious' over and over they seemed very attached to the Ring but there was an air of mystery and suspense as the dark shape followed closely behind.....
Watch this space for some brand new stills (coming shortly to a cinema nowhere near anyone).

Comfortable in each other's company it appears to the onlooker that our two heroes may have made a Hobbit of this...setting off together on mysterious trips to rescue long-forgotten treasure ...
As they neared their well-fortified destination they seemed blissfully happy to have completed the perilous journey with the RING safely in their clutches...
Suddenly the evil leprechauns spied them and shouts were heard. BillyGo and Legless glanced round in fear as they realised their secret was about to be uncovered...

And I thought you were the souls of discretion. Still nice to know that ribsters are patrolling Portmsouth Harbour 24/7 armed with a camera to catch anything our of the ordinary.
However I am sure 2 coffees and a pint of lager will have bought your silence for the moment.

You seem to make a lot of late night trips across Pompey harbour ? hmm all very suspicious. I am sure I have seen a poster somewhere asking for reports of little boats and ribs making landings at night time.

Episode 111
In fact the leprechauns were none other than the legendary shebeen dwellers of Middle Solent near the End of The World…
(So Legless and Billygo realised they were in safe company.)
Many a stranger had been saved from mortal peril on great journeys by these same Leprechauns Jaxo and Damissis…and now they were calling out insistently to our two devilishly handsome heroes ..
‘Beware the Ring!!!!It will try to draw you to the Dark Side!!!!’

Episode 1V
In a cloud of dark smoke Obe Wan Karleebebe materialised in the murky waters now swirling around the poor little leprechauns…
‘Use the force look!!!’ he whispered through his mouthpiece (on loan for the purposes of this fillum) from Dirk Taxevader. The leprechauns were dazzled by the brilliant sight of Obe's multicoloured chariot (their lickle eyes being only used to forty shades of green).
Then he demonstrated how to throttle with bottle at all times…
As Obe vanished with a mighty sound and a huge backward draft of wind, the leprechauns mustered their courage once more and approached the vessel bearing the huge forms of Billygo and Legless…

The Leprechauns forged ahead in the gathering gloom aware now that it was the hour of the great Birds swooping in the air with screeching noises (props) (going too fast basically :D) ...this was indeed the hour of Robin and Pillagin and Jaxo and Damissis felt a sudden fear that their heroes were being drawn into something far far beyond their control...

Episode V1
As the darkness deepened huge monsters appeared in the distance….the two shebeen dwellers huddled in fear as the night seemed fuller dark shapes and distant rumbles … they drew aside into the shadows (afraid of being Mordored).
They wondered fleetingly if some giants thundering by could be the great Scorpions they had only read about (in shiny catalogues) or perhaps the greatest and most fearsome monster of all ….
the Phantom form of the mighty Leviathan???
But all the huge shapes roared by... hell bent on reaching far away destinations…they had no time to waste on pitiful leprechauns…
Billygo and Legless drew on the Dark Powers of the Ring which shielded them from the unwelcome attention of the Powerful Ones…

Episode V11
Drawing on the Dark Power of the Ring began to have a terrible effect on our intrepid heroes. Both Billygo Baggage and Legless were beginning to mutter gibberish…indeed the Ring began to fill them with doubt as they seemed to turn against themselves and their very natures…
One voice mumbled over and over… ‘Billygo….Billygo…when will Billy Go…Will Billy ever Go….?????;
And the voice of our other hero began to have a sharp edge as he repeated incessantly ‘I want to get Legless’……’I want to get Legless’…..wheresthefekkinpub’…..

Episode V111
The faithful leprechauns (known fondly in some shires as jakeens) began to follow the Heroes closely …Their great fears were being realised as the Heroes began to tear their garments cast off their helmets and throw valuable artefacts into the raging torrent…
Gone were the comforting skins, the daggers, the flaming torches…even valuable foodstuffs (nourishing curlywurlies). All were discarded as Billygo and Legless were consumed with desire for possession of the Ring…
Unknown to them, all items were being carefully collected from the mighty waters by the Fruityfish a very fast (but not the fastest ALL the time) two headed creature that seemed half -cat half –chef. Never one to waste a thing this nimble but fragile creature was no doubt going to squirrel away the items for a forthcoming car boot (cream tea supplied as standard) sale... ( in Devon’s Shires).
Helplessly the leprechauns tagged along in the wake watching the faces of their beloved friends take on a harder aspect now…less aware of those around them.
Indeed Billygo and Legless seemed to withdraw completely seeming interested only in moving faster and faster as they became possessed by the Dark Power…

Episode 1X
They were in a safer place now . Though still in possession of the Ring which they glanced at over and over…Legless and Billygo were moving slower as if in need of rest. The trusty little leprechauns (Jaxo and Damissis) were relieved at this as they were unsure how much longer they could go on. They passed as a group under cavernous arches into a settlement where Middle Solent Dwellers coexisted peacefully…each in their own section of this safe haven. There were lights too and for a second Jaxo and Damissis caught sight of their friends’ faces. Horrified they realised that both were changed beyond recognition …transfigured no doubt by the ever strengthening lure of the DARK SIDE…
(...faraway music seems to be playing...'Scream if you want to go faster'.... :D )

Episode X
The sweet little leprechauns had to think fast…
Mumbling Private Magic syllables (PMs) in an olden language ('Pog Mo Thon…Pog Mo Thon….Pog Mo Thon' and using the PM system) they summoned up the Amp Master (renowned for his prowess in harnessing and controlling power on the Dark Side) and the Wizard Tenfoot (famed for his ability to transport heavy loads- of data- safely and for his wisdom as a Tenfoot Ruler) .
In a flash the giants were there lighting up the night with their reddish hair…
‘WHAT IS IT YOU WANT FEKKIN LEPRECHAUNS? ‘they bellowed…
(fekkin being a term of endearment in the leprechauns homeland. The Wise Ones would know this.)
‘IT HAD BETTER BE IMPORTANT. WE GET FAR TOO MANY PMS FROM EEJITS LIKE YERSELVES’…

Quaking in fear the leprechauns pointed at Billygo and Legless who were nearing their destination …
‘They have a Ring’ Damissis said (getting straight to the point for once ; nearly said something else but thought better of it cackle cackle).
(Actually what she really wanted to say was could you drop by in the morning and help Jaxo fit a nav light switch but she knew better).
Quickly the gods sizered up the situation. There was no way Billygo and Legless could cope with the Ring’s Dark Power.
There was only one thing to do…………
Upgrading to one voice Amp and Tenfoot roared at the hapless figures still insulated a little with their protective air bladders but blinded by the Dark Power of the Ring…
'HALT !!!!'

proclaimed the Great gods (in one voice).
No longer will you be able to star in fillums like Cookee does but you are going to be attached to that RING which shall do you great harm unless...'
At this Billygo and Legless looked up in hope (along with the leprechauns...mustn't forget them...)...
'UNLESS YOU DO THE FOLLOWING THREE THINGS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER!!!'
The frightened listeners nodded eagerly (afraid of being cast out like so much froth and bubbles)
'ONE!'
'YOU WILL INSULATE THE RING SO IT CANNOT HARM YOU. WE AVE CHECKED WITH JW AND DM AND JAXO AND SUCHLIKE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT INTO IT AND ENCIRCLE IT WITH A RUBBERY MATERIAL
TWO!
YOU WILL HAVE TO ATTACH A BOATMAD STICKER TO AID IDENTIFICATION INCLUDING NAMING AND SHAMING IN PUBLIC

They agreed sadly and left finally for home, dragging the Ring after them.
And so as the little leprechauns made their way back to the shebeen at Middle Solent, the End of The World, the gods of the Domain made themselves invisible once more and order was restored to Middle Solent....only the sounds of a clever little Robin perched on a nearby banana to disturb the Blue Ice of early dawn...

There were 28 ribs and the call signs ranged from Alpha 1 all the way down to Echo 2 (guess who was Echo 2)
It was really good to drive a boat quickly in waves as opposed to wavelets and we had a high powered crosing of all 28 ribs on the return journey as we were all empty

I think that threads got a bit of life left in it yet :duell:
Secondly the Camel is off to sunny ( :well: :well: :well: ) Wolverhampton to fall under the expert renovation skills of D Manning. The frame is coming off and the Opti is a going on and the Electronics will probably be replaced with Navman.
the Fkkn frame I am hoping can be donated to his nipper as a climbing frame unless I am lucky enough to find a nobber with an Avon 5.4 who fancies fitting it to his boat. however if Bogi's mate wants to make a Crabant then he's welcome

Yeah, I suppose but I like doing the wiring. Compared to rolling a laminating roller, it's exciting!

Yeah, they're here too, this year. But there are hardly any midges. It's usually the other way around.

Bridge of Orchy was the worst - knew about the others, but lulled into false sense of security - found a campsite with patches of grass between the heather, near river and pub... should have known that the locals cultivated it to look inviting to sassenach tourists!
Worst thing was breathing out a cloud of midges - didn't matter whether it was from mouth or nose, just as awful! :speechles
Yes, they can be dire. Though, just the slightest breeze and they're gone. It's surprising how often Scotland is calm!

We got a family of badgers at the back of the house and they potter about at night (like T. and Waver :D)

If you enjoyed the Badgerised version of The Two Towers, you'll love this: http://www.rathergood.com/independent_woman/
However, if you browse the rest of the site, be warned - DO NOT under any circumstances listen to the "Hedgehogs" track  . Really. OK, I know you will, but just don't. Alright then, Rouge Wave can 'cos he's really broad minded and he knows all about hedge trimming and stuff. And mebbe 'shooz as well. Paul http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/musik/music-smiley-009.gif, you can't listen to it though.
