I saw the following article in IBI magazine !

Number of people using motorboats for recreation in the UK could halve if plans to triple the tax on motorboat diesel come into force.

When is this due to come in action ?

2007, unless there is a change of Government or everyone registers as a commerical operation.

But if petrol and diesel were the same price which would you choose ? petrol for the performance gains or diesel for safety ? not an easy choice

The other current benefit of diesel is its easy availabilty. It's on the quayside wherever you go.

What's going to happen in 2007 though? Commercial users will still be using red, but how many places are going to bother to put in separate supplies of white for leisure users?

It could mean jerry cans whenever you cruise away from the most poulated areas whatever fuel you need. :bang:
