Am I right in saying that most ski racing drivers and observers wear open face helmets? If so is there a distinct disadvantage with full-face. When I raced offshore I prefered a full-face, ' cause without it I would have damaged my chin on several occasions. I realise that communication between driver and observer is better with open face but as most use intercoms that shouldn't be an issue. Also where is a good place to buy skiers helmets? Do most buy and spay orange or can these be bought?

I wear full face and i believe most of the other drivers do too but for observers it seems to be half and half.
I believe Greg at GB watersports 01733 322108 sells ski helmets

Most of us Aussies wear open face because of a better field of vision. I wear a Stilo and they are worth every cent. Over here we are not allowd to wear skiers helmets:confused:
