I can see it now. Travel 3500 miles to attend - the cart breaks down on the third lap and I end up sleeping in it for two nights.

I seem to remember that RIBnet offered Boatmad "outside" for a bit of paintballing a while back (before the great Boatmad meltdown), but the response was somewhat girlie :D

Karting would be good too. Or how about quads? There are plenty of places that do paintball and quads on the same site.

Andy Stevens on RIBnet runs a paintball site that also has quads: www.crackingday.com

a self imposed ban!

oh, and also the fact that I never bov'd to set it up since I installed a fresh XP on me puter over the summer.

so would you come karting? I think it'd be a laugh, but have reservations that it is likely to do the exact opposite of the original intentions of the vid night..... I.e be ANOTHER boys day out to which Mrs C wont want to come.

Jon Fuller

yeah, i spose. I reckon we need a minimum weight rule though!
All skinny weightless nobbas to bring 50kilos of sand bags, just to get things equal.

Actually, thinking about you & TD, they'd better bring 100 kilos

Captain Chaos
09-11-2006, 06:48 AM
ha bloody ha

I'll still win 'unhandicapped'.......... but there can be only one rule:

THERE ARE NO RULES!!

There used to be an indoor Kart Track in Crawley. Don't know if its still there though. I'd be up for Karting. And there's always Buckmore Park, Maidstone, with the twin engined Karts.

Last time I went Karting (a while ago) I thought I would loose out big time by being a fat bastard, as Gav kindly puts it, but it worked out in my favour as I kept the kart pinned to the track in the corners! Although I did need a push to get going:chomp:

Gosport and crawley are both good!

Rupert Munro
11-11-2006, 04:48 AM
crawley a bit small though as inside - buckmoor park is awesome place to race - huge outdoor track. I think they use it for national championship races

scottyboy
11-11-2006, 05:21 AM
Yeah raced at buckmoore park but its abit weather permitting is all i thought?

Rupert Munro
11-11-2006, 05:31 AM
yeh thats very true but if its a crawley then i think there is a bit of a problem having more than 6 or so on the track as its very small, good track for low nos of people though.

Raced at Buckmore Park........

Once when it was foggy with black ice on the first top corner, and the other when it was the hottest of evenings and you hardly had to touch the brakes.....So Buckmore would be a brill option and they can easily cater for any type of karting. If it rains well we just get wet.
The people who have to travel from a distance could make a weekend of it and we could have a party in Rochester/Chatham maybe.

Only a suggestion.........now I am off to the stockcars

It was quite a while ago - won a few races - mostly in 125's - 6 speed rotary valve Rotax 135mph around tracks like Silverstone and Snetterton! - sadly never British Champion though!
