I enjoy driving karts but I hate organsied kart GP's. The heats are so short that everyone cheats as its the only way to get or stay ahead in the few short laps that you have. Arrive and drive is good as you have plenty of time to follow and figure out where you can get passed but when you only have 5 40 second laps.................

Also I'm 15 and a half stone so light weights like Burty, Gav and Matt will clean up!!!
Edurance kart racing is the way to go, not gp style with heats

Im up for a bit of Karting.....................
No doubt Cookee (I think he was a champion of it some time ago) and Red 5 will be up for it..................Any possibility that the blackthorn drinking guys will be up for it as well.
Thats the Devon County sorted out!

Might get bellend "Brighty" to do trip in the boat next season
Until recently I was 13 stone, most of it round my middle. (still had skinny arms & legs). Decided I need to be "in proportion" so have lost a stone already - bit more to go yet.

If ya want to go to the camberley karting track and have a meal locally, we'd be more than happy to have everyone round for late drinking after and a fry up the following morning (within reason - we're not feeding 5000 from a fish and a loaf of bread!) - as per last year etc. :)
P.S. Vicki says we wouldn't be serving fish and bread for brekkies

Dude i seem to remember it was only the select few plus 2 gatecrashers(me and JBD:D ) at breakkie last year and if it was from fish and a loaf of bread i'm well impressed cus it was loverly:)
You might have gatecrashed, but you were still welcome.
There's a limit to how many people will fit in the kitchen, anyhoo!
Burty

thanks mate, as i said it was loverly. plus you should have room for a couple more this time cus you engines are now installed in ya boat rather than sitting in the kitchen;)

Karting seems to be the most popular choice.......
how many people will turn up though!
I am looking at venues that are around an hours drive for most people , obviously not for all but am really trying to get things equal for a high percentage of folk.
so if you havent voted yet, get on and do it then we can start arranging things for a definite date.
Gav:cheers:
Both me & Vix are defo up for karting.
Just don't do it on the 20th Jan!

Whereas Jan is traditionally a quieter time

with paddle gear change, on soft compound Dunlop tyres.

The 13th (I assume you mean January) is the end of London Boat Show - doesn't affect me but it might some people?
That's usually the plan - that a crowd head up to the boatshow the following day...

Milton Keynes would be a fair choice, because it's a pain in the arse for everyone to get to!
On the other hand Camberley would be closer for most people, and it has the benefit of a roof :)
Southampton...............................48miles
London.........................................36m iles
Brighton........................................68 miles
Farnborough.................................5miles
Weston super mud........................116miles
Kidderminster.................................130m iles
Alderholt........................................7 2miles

If camberly is anything like crawley then its a very small inside track - no chance of getting 24 people on it
Rupert Munro
18-11-2006, 12:09 PM
450m at camberley vs 1400m at Milton Keynes
And? It's dull if the track's empty.
