I was considering what prop to stick on my boat today, i'm undecided between a few...

is this the correct site with which to discuss this?? or are we only allowed to have threads about irrelivant drivle and people whom wish to outkast themselves?

lets stop ****in around with all this shit! when you're at home on shitty dial-up, its really annoying to come online and wait ages for pages to load up to find its just a load of shite!!!!

come on this forum and talk about boats or madness!! The names sorta gives the idea away!!!

Its NOT called Boat Backstan forum!!!

Captain Annoyed!

Matt, feel free to moderate as you wish!

yes you are correct about the trysyllabic, I made a missteak / misctce/misstake/ I fkkd up. unfortunately one only has a minute nowadays to edit a post . i now understand why your spelling is a bit iffy,

cheers for the injectors, barrus always say they haven't got nuffink left in yewrope.

CC what size engine are you fitting on your boat ?

Captain Chaos

it looks certain to be my 200 merc....as i've said in other posts,

trouble is, i'm finding it really difficult to find something say 100hp to stick on my fletcher to flog as a package.

so if something newer/nicer & maybe +hp came along for the phantom i could be tempted if it were cheap enough!

Captain Chaos

I utterly concur matt,

but Mr Barsch reckons he considered my case carefully.........i gave him the weights blah blah and intended use of boat and her reckons that long before i attempt anything in the way of hoting it up (30ish hp should be available withoout "internal stuff" aparantly) i should

have solid mounts, offshore mid section, improved gearbox....this, i'm told will be approx £900 used.

so just thought, save meself some work, flog the fletcher as-is, ruin another credit card and get something newer.

this whole thought process started when i thought i may have an offer of a 2000 promax 225 efi against my fletcher....but lets just say there was a "descrepency" between my valuation of the two items and his!

this crossed my mind today...except i just bought all the wiring loom for a merc

There's an old Bonito in the background of that pic! they were feckin orible! Noel Edmunds raced one, and famously had steering failure resulting in a wee crash! can't remember if it hit a yacht, or Bouremouth pier, summat like that anyway.

Jon Fuller

Offshore midsection has a completely different power trim system, stock one is doggy toilet

Captain Chaos
07-08-2004, 05:27 PM
yeh move it over MR Mod,

by "improved i ment" p/ups nose cone etc.....just couldnee be assed to type it all...

do you agree it could all start getting expensive against lets say a promax, that (a) TD gave me the deal of a lifetime on (and he'd have to give it to me 4 it to be that!!!) or, more likely (b) get a 2/3yur old model from the states when i'm over there 1st week oct.

whichever way you slice it, i'll be doing the mods over the winter, by which time my merc will have 10 candels on his cake!

Jon Fuller

Yeah but I'm sure when Nick spoke of mid section he would have meant all of it!, the domestic trim has two trim and one tilt ram, it aint no good. race one has only one ram and is way more durable, in fact there is no comparison.

trouble is, you lot dont quite know "the nature of this beast". It takes a super-human effort to actually get me to do anything...even stuff i'm supposed to love.

I just fear that once i stick whatever engine i do on this boat....it'll feckin stay there coz i wont be arsed to change it!!!!

speaking of shite 3 ram trims, summer b4 last i had to change the trim motor....this required me stripping and rebuilding a 2nd hand one (best of 2, sorta thung) and that took me the whole of July to get round to doing!

went in a driver once, that had a single ram trim (with pump motor inboard) that tilt was rapid.

Jon Fuller

MMmnnn, there's two sides to a lot of that tho', with a iccle skeg, high 'X' and a shed load of out trim, you aint got no 'flight' (as in dart) keepin the fecker going forward, and goin backward at that speed makes ya arse pucker up summat horrible

Jon Fuller

2.5 EFI! give the oul credit card a good kickin, boat would be fab, that way you'll get all the goodies and the hp to go with it.

Jon Fuller
07-08-2004, 05:56 PM
forget all that shite, he'll give up all that girlie stuff with feckin blow up rings 'n' skis 'n' bananas 'n' other poofie things and become a right racer boy! ...you wait 'n' see

Jon Fuller
07-08-2004, 05:58 PM
reasonably high x, qss chopper, 285 hp, no set back, white knuckles, big hard cock, in that order! bring it on.

the poor old fecker's on a dial-up :bang: :drain:

right, too much info from the boat bod bros thank you.........

It started out as a simple scenario i thought, cant find anything half shit to put on fletcher, so should i fork-out and get something lets say...nearer to ideal for the phantom??? blinkin eck! And, i think for a "social boat" offshores sound somewhat antisocial....mind you i did enjoy the boggs we used to get when my bro took out his ring with the V8+ straights thrus....stiff bunch of ole farts!

heres said promax...look the dreamers over a grand shy already!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1296&item=2486444939&rd=1

BTW 1 - 20kbs what ****in fun!

BTW 2 - trying to sort my dads hanheld GPS so i can finally find out how fast the fletcher actually goes....whats the guesses then cockbunnies???

BTW3 this thred needs "very necessary" in the title somewhere thanks fuller!!!!

Jon Fuller

water pump driven by cam belt I think.

2 weeks ago I had the exact same symptom on my dads Xantia (same engine) and it was a plastic hose junction on the back of the block! very common the man in the parts dept said.

Captain Chaos

laters jonny,

i got do the z-thing meself, got sausage coming round at 10! and i've forgotton i snapped the winch strap on the fletcher last week, so i gotta quickly wog the one on the phantom trailer (which means he'll ghet a nice new'n)....before we go and pic up happy giraffe!!

oh, and those inflatables are utterly stupid, like me. especially 2 at a time.

i'll get some pics!

just thought, if i get a promax 300......or a omc v8.....i could probably do a JF & TD double donut.......well unless you eat'm first!

i'm sucha cheeky we cockney essex boy
