but unfortunately they are not
i am lead to belive,
i have skimmed the rules and can see no legisltaion against something like and xr2, obviously early 150, or a promax
but as i said, i am informed that early xr2's are illegal

hi as the drivers rep the rules are any factory standard 150 hp engine NO alteratons to it whatsoever this is for the uk only, which means as long as it came out of the box that it was suppied in as standard it will comply for uk use only hense people telling you the xr2 but the old silver band ones which were 150xr2`s are allowed but as people have tried the new 150 opti is very quick as standard and set up right and of course with the right skier,i belive and have driven several this year early 60`s with a skier up will be competitive in the f3 class but it takes some time to get it right! best of luck and lets hope to see you out racing next year!
don`t forget if your driving you will need to get your;
ski boat drivers award
race boat drivers award
and your novice licence etc
speak to amy at the fed office she will send you all the relavant paperwork for sbda and rbda.

Perhaps the trick is to keep the box and bring it to each race and have it scrutineered :drain: :drain: :drain:

According to my Mercury parts finder CD, the last of the 150efi Pro max's (serial no's: OG610050-OG856999) were available as either a 15" or 20" mid, both with a sportsmaster box!

I even know who's got one for sale!!! (assuming he hasn't sold it.)

A couple of year ago Robbie (skirace.net) sent out a ist of engines that could be used. From memory there were 4 maufactureres; all with similar outputs. See if you can get this; it might be in the rules. Have you got a copy of the rules?

I'll have a look through my old E mails.

The serial number tag is located on the SWIVEL BRACKET (port or starboard); or, check the INSTRUCTION PLATE, located between the thumb screws above the steering tube

That's ok as long as the powerhead hasn't been put on a different mid.

If you believed the no's on my mids, I'd be running a pair of EFi's! Better to check the number on the block.

I see what you mean Tony but if the serial number on the mid isn't for a 150 its illigal anyways

Surely you can replace parts, say, in the case of a failure. The new part wouldn't have a serial number. Also, the range of serial no's for a 150 promax is the same as a 200!

I really don't know maybe Wacky or Mike Hunt can answer that
