You need to be warming it up! The block might not have been solid all the way through when you first noticed.

You stuck a heater under it to warm it up yet?
I suggest firelighters, newspaper, some stick & twigs to get started, then move onto small logs. That should do.

3 am yesterday morning drove the 270miles to get to work, spent 8hrs in the car watching the heroes on the A303 doing their ice dancing routines at 70mph. Pillocks overtaking on the wrong side of the road whilst I waited for the jacknifed lorries to clear the incline ahead, managed to arrive totally unscathed when a **** in a delivery van reversed into the car on the site!!
As "Wolfie" Smith used to say "come the revolution they should be stood against the wall and bop, bop, bop". Never a truer word!
