The batteries
As I understand it, the batteries are the same case/fitment, ENEL3 for D100, ENEL3a for D70s, the only difference being that the newer '3a' is 100mah larger capacity.

Either will work with either.

No,

It comes with (when bought as D70s 'kit') AF 18-70mm 3.5-4.5f

I also bought a AF 55-200mm 4-5.6f tele zoom

and have ordered a AF 70-300mm 4-5.6f tele zoom

Well i dint know that the D100 type batteries fitted the D70!

You learn something new every day.

I have the 70 - 300mm telephoto as well as the VR 80 - 400mm, both really good nikon lenses.

No, im not a peeping tom

But the 400mm VR (Vibration Reduction) is essential for sharp action pictures. Believe me if you want to capture good close action you will soon find the 300mm inadequate.

Yes, good cheap lens but lacks it at the 300mm range. Like all things, its compromise.

Bull shit! What you need is to get closer to the action, and learn a bit of technique!

Are you sure Jon? I heard they were rather common in the Fawley/Calshot area!
