It seems a lot more up to date to me!

TD's boat is there, which I think arrived about May last year, and mine is sat where it was last year.
Your Bladerunner may have been on holiday in France!

C'mon, get real!! They're not gonna waste valuable funds keeping imagery up to date of anything north of Watford, are they! sheesh.
Just a grey sheet of paper would do fine.

It looks like the oblique shots (aka bird eye) are much more recent than the verticals (aerial). The coverage is more limited though.

It could be that the older images were bought in a takeover of a smaller company ( i think thats what google did too) and the Bird's eye pics are microsofts own update to the older service

They got my new house!
( my field is outlined in red, the yellow outline is still the farmers. )
The 'birds eye view' stops at the Blackmans lane road, so I can not get it... The photo here is about 3 years old...

Aerial Photos are the millenium photo's taken in 1999, same ones as on multimap but higher res. The birds eye photos are last summer as looking at my work the new reception is there (late 04) the zebra crossings are there (early 05) the two extra car parking spaces and yellow hatchings are not there (late 05) plus the trees are green (summer).
