Is this becoming a trend?
Seems that having a stern word with 'er indoors isn't enough nowadays...

Have you entered Marc?
Cookies never gonna hear the end of it if he doesn't enter after all that spiel about "resenting being excluded"! you can rest assured of that.

Once to you lot and once to the P1 guys. ( who have returned a cheque )
Hopefully that will sort it.
Still not listed on the Poker run, despite talking to Gill and confirming she had my deposit the end of May, so I am guessing you just work slow.

As I explained to you in the PM's I have nowhere to put the liferaft - the bit behind the navigator has a tiny little trap door and is full of electrics and fuel tank, and if you put it on one side that won't work - the only other place is under the foredeck and if I need it in a hurry it won't be accessible.
I have nothing against the rules, and they make sense for a long distance race with limited safety cover, it's just that my boat was designed and built for races that don't need a liferaft!

Why's that? After all, it's only to satisfy the regs.

Mike doesn't seem to have any details of your entry.
Could it be a conspiracy?

Does the liferaft have to be in place at the end of the race?

eeeerrrr, yeah, I know, it was a joke.
with this, and the apalling failure of my humour in this thread, I think maybe I should give up on trying to be funny.
It clearly doesn't suit me.

I don't think Cookie wants, nor intends racing the CTC event. The liferaft thing is I believe, a convienient excuse. If he really wanted to do it, this would be a minor problem that he would overcome without too much fuss, probably without even mentioning it.
Before the liferaft, it was the auxiliary engine remember.
