I know this is all a bit sad innit jon, I feel i have to redeem myself by informing you that I'm off to watch disk 2 from my newley recieved:
"A-Team Season 2" DVD boxset.

There is no poll - airwolf was clearly the superior aircraft in every respect, both as the supposed super chopper, and as the actual aircraft they used in the film.
For sure, someone is gonna say a gazelle is better than a bell 222, but in blue thunder the "prop" cockpit etc added so much weight it couldn't perform many stunts, whereas in airwolf, most of the stunts were done with real aircraft in the air, making some of the best heli footage ever.
Sadly the helicopter used for airwolf ultimately crashed while working as (I think) an air ambulance, however all of the airwolf body panels are FAA approved and still in existence - so another airwolf could crop up again.
55 episodes (series 1&2 only - 3 & 4 don't count) of airwolf is much better than 1 naff B rated film.
