Cold Calling to Sue Someone

Unbelievable - I got a cold call from someone (sounded like a call centre or something) claiming that i had been in a road traffic accident and that I wanted to sue over it. When i told him that he was wrong he started asking if anyone in my family, friends or acquaintances had. Its amazing the lengths these tossers will go to to try and get people to sue over these things .

A friend of mine (really was a friend, not me) had a minor accident in his car (not his fault) and when asked if he had any injuries he said he bumped his knee and had a bit of a stiff neck (which was actually down to going boating in a bit of a chop). Months later when he was long healed and had completely forgotten about it the other parties insurance company offered him £500 for his injuries. He should of said 'oh no its fine don't worry about it' but he didn't, instead he took the money. Put in the same situation would you turn down £500 on the basis that if you and everyone else in the country in similar situations did the right thing all of our insurance's would be cheaper?
