computer help needed

does anyone know how to boot from a cd when it wont do it automatically,i want to install a fresh copy of windows xp,but because my system is more newer than the copy it wont do it??
any ideas??

You need to press the apropriate key (F2 I think) during boot up, to enter setup, it's pretty self explanatary once in setup. (mouse won't work, it's all done with keys/return)

EDIT> just checked mine, it's 'F10' to enter setup, or 'escape' to shortcut straight to 'boot preference'.

sorted! check out spyfalcon on google its a barstad! had the disk wiped in the end
