F1 British Grand Prix Moving

From 2010 the British grand prix will be at Donington Park, the owners of Donington park have said they will give the circuit a 100 million pound revamp. But Bernie hasnt thought it through because the jets flying into East Midlands airport fly directly over the track at low altitude, leaving the people who own helicopters no where to land because of the jets coming in every couple of minutes.

I suspect Bernie has thought it through, and we'll see donington up for sale in the next month or 2. (Remember the Brands Hatch lark)

they better get along with spending this 100 million pounds because they only have two years, i went up their last year and it clearly needs the 100 million pound investment

You could be right, the track would be worth more with Formula One on it's calendar: Quote taken from Topgear

"The track itself needs lengthening and brought up to F1’s latest safety standards. The local infrastructure requires heavy revision to cope with the arrival of the F1 circus and at least 90,000 spectators (ask anyone trapped for hours at the recent MotoGP meeting).
Who is going to fork out the £100m to do the job over five years? And who will pay the £13m (plus a 5 per cent annual escalator) F1 needs in order to bring the show to Donington?
Not Tom Wheatcroft, the owner of Donington. Not Donington Ventures Leisure Limited, the circuit’s lease holder and operator. Apparently, there is a ‘private investor’ who is also a substantial share holder. Naturally, Donington do not wish to reveal the identity of this person."

Oh dear

Brands is no good for F1 cars too slow, up and down like a whore's draws, crap facilities, crap parking, crap access crap track. Ive never seen 90,000 people at Brands for an A1GP or Truck Race, May be for Bikes ....
Silverstone (like most British Motor Sport) is run by a group of old fogies who all live in the past (D. Hill, (Sir) S Moss) and the BDRC to be honest its nearly as bad as Brands...

Let Donnington have a go and lets be thankfull that we still have a British Grand Prix

Well Done to Lewis - Great Drive

Brands hatch is a boring circuit because the corners are too similar.

And The person that owns Donington said he wouldn't touch the craner curves which is a good thing, but they are going to make the course longer by adding a loop.

Send a message via Skype™ to ciao!
The people who will suffer are the local businesses, when I got back from the RB 08 on Tuesday I went for a few beers with a mate in a hotel in town, already it was filled up with Honda and Bridgestone mechanics.

Our butcher does 7 x his average biz on GP weekend and so on.

Still when I woke up this morning It was like something out of Apocalypse Now! Helicopter after helicopter - I will not miss that!
