I cant beleive he walked away from that, the safety crews were slipping about in the jet fuel trying to put the fire out. I think i'd have left it to burn out first! Their was never gonna be alot to salvage out of it. Still, fair play to them they've got some balls !

The track at the the Pod is slippy underfoot at the best of times. I've raced bikes up there on 'Run wot ya brungs' and I've almost dropped the buggers waiting for the green lights! Might be grippy on tyres, but it's like a skating rink under your boots. The Jet A1 sloshing around certainly wouldn't help.

The commentary dude reckoned they would run more racing after the emergency crews had cleaned up. Did anyone stick around to see if they did? Must confess I didn't! Too bloody cold for one thing.

I heard on the way out about 6ish that the surface was totaly torched through to the concrete so i doubt there would have been anymore racing. He parked the car in the midle of the two lanes instead of one or the other. Inconsiderate i think
