It's a crazy world

Is it just me or has this country gone mad.

My wifes neice passed her test shortly before her father died, and in the distressing weeks that followed she just forgot to exchange her provisional licence for a full.

Having been driving for 3+ years since the fateful day, she found herself being stopped on the motorway at 2:30 am in the morning on her way home from work due to a faulty bulb.

On producing her documents at the police station the next day she was suprised to find that her prov licence had expired, and so she has now been banned from driving until she reapplies for a new provisional and re takes her test, and been given 3 points on a licence that she doesn't even possess yet, as well as a fine!

Barmy or what!!!!

And to top it all the job that she was driving home from is "answering 999 calls at her counties emergency call centre" !

Thats so stupid. mate if mine this week had to go to court, i'll starty the story from the beginning..................

straightist family in the world. the sort of people who would be at church every sunday if they went to church...

mum, dad, son and daughter

daughter went out with friends one weekend witnessed a fight between 2 other girls

police made her go to court to be a witness. no problem she thought, she arrived at crown court 30mins early having never been in trouble or been to court before.
so not knowing what to do decided to go and get a cup of tea, on leaving tea room saw the girl she saw starting the fight she was in court about. after glancing over she sat down waiting to see what was happening next.
next thing she knew the case was adjurned and she was arrested for perverting the course of justice because she had intimidated a witness (ie the defendant) by spotting her in the tea room.
she went to court for sentancing today and was told to take 50 quid with her ( the max amount you are allowed to take to prison) and to expect a term in jail. as it turned out she ending up with a £2500 fine and 120 hour community service all for not knowing what to do in court!
in my opinion this is utter bollox and it seems the police just want to get there crime numbers up by using easy tactics rather than seeing propper criminals behind bars.
