lucky or what?
Despite the fog and flight cancellations, we managed to get to Austria yesterday afternoon for our Xmas ski trip. Had an hours delay at Bournemouth airport, but were luckier than the other 3 flights that got cancelled.
Excellent snow conditions, but it is a bit chilly.

Many years ago my brother road his Mountain Bike (full rigid back in them days) down the slope we were all tobbogoning on, his digital speedo thingy logged 39mph max speed. He couldn't slow down much at the bottom on the compacted snow and ice and ended up hitting a fence. He went over the handle bars and landed kidney first on a pointy topped wooden fence post. The milk man took him and his bike home on the milk float and me and my mates ran along side. He spent the next couple of days in hospital pissing blood. Ouch!!!

I think we might be spending some time in gay bars and restaurants if it doesn't snow soon - a friend is working out there for a season and she sent a photo from the top of the mountain and there were just some piles of slush to be seen!
Ah well
