I had a red Superlight 900 before the 748 - best sounding bike ever!

A long shot but anyone interested in a touring bike for this summer? Selling my beamer. Pristine original condition, only 23k miles, new tyres, always serviced, everything good. All the usual beamer stuff, adjustable screen, heated grips, ABS etc. MOT to next Feb 2013 and taxed until end of August. It's a genuine buy it, ride it bike and needs nothing unlike most secondhand machines. Looking for about £2.3k. A full fairing, full luggage, ready to go tourer.... bargain.

Adventure

Thread resurection!

KTM Adventure 990, not very practical for moving boat stuff around but it was to replace my old Mini Cooper Sports, and the paniers are probably bigger then the Mini's boot!

It shares my shed with a lovely Beta Evo3 trials bike, which I don't have any photos of

Little help

Ok, I know nothing about bikes but thought it would be fun to get into it so I did my cbt yesterday.....

Doing the rest to das next few weeks as weather allows.

Any of you guys got any advice on a good starter bike? Don't want to kill myself but don't want to be bored either....

Is a yam fz600 a good choice? Or any other suggestions??? I'm 6'4 so does that matter very much when it comes to model choice?

Cheers

Chris.

I passed by test a few years ago and went for a Triumph Sprint ST 1050, which on the face of it is a big(ish) CC bike.

My theory was that if I bought a 600/800cc bike i'd soon get bored and want to move up. The bike will only go as fast as you ride it.

The FZ600 is a nice bike and I'd go to a dealer and ask for a test ride. When I was looking round, dealers were more than happy to let me have a ride, even though I'd only just passed my test.

Cheers Mark
