Just saying hello . This site has some good pics and videos . I'll try to post some soon .
Any thoughts on F1 ? Can Schumacher pull it off ? Yes , it will take a miracle . I am obviously a Tifoso .
Best wishes to you all and safe boating .

Brundle to Kimi Raikkonen:
'You missed the presentation!' (Pele giving Schuey some freebie)
'Yeah, I was having a shit'
'Well, at least you'll have a lighter car now for the race'
Go Brundle!!

Felipe must be chuffed to have been the first Brazilian to win his home GP since Senna.
That's a mighty big set of footsteps to follow in.

I don't think anyone can reasonably doubt Schuey's ability, it was more his less-than-sporting win-at-all-costs ways of doing things that really stuck in the craw.
Then again, Senna had his moments too...

Senna has taken people out in the 1st lap of a race to win Championships.

In the first 400 yards as it goes! That'll be when he hit Prost at Suzuka I take it?
Naughty little Brazilian.

Yep thats the one! But you never hear anyone call Senna a cheating wanker! But then again Schuey did take out a British driver so there are bound to be more bones made about it here.

I'm pretty certain that Prost called Senna a wanker at some point. Even used that exact term I believe! Need to re-read Christopher Hilton's excellent biography of Senna to find out for sure though.
Ah! Prost and Senna! Those were the days. But I was still a massive James Hunt fan as a kid.

Those were the days .
We wont see men like Hunt again . He could party all night , take the win next day , then do an interview while smoking a butt . Today he would probably be suspended or fined . What a great character he was . I also admired him as a youngster.

Yeah. Dead at 43 though, sadly.
Nearest we got these days was Montoya. I loved the way he did Schumacher up the grass in his first F1 race! Top bloke.
Barry Sheene was another childhood hero of mine, along with Kenny Roberts. I was fortunate enough to meet them both in recent years, and I was also at Sheene's last ever race at Goodwood in 2002. Top, top guy also.
It seems modern race drivers have their personalities removed. Probably to save weight.

Montoya is quite the happy guy . When in the US Champ Car series he clearly outclassed the field . In F1 its seems he held his own but the equipment wasn't there .
His move to Nascar will bring big $ and many new fans to the sport , however its like going from a palace to a shack in terms of atmosphere but then a guy like JP may be happier in the informal family setting Nascar promotes . Either way I'm sure he will be successful .
