Oh dear

Following an unfortunate horse incident whilst riding in the New Forest, my wife had the pleasure of being airlifted by the Dorset Police. It would have been the air ambulance, but they were on another job in Somerset.

I dutifully made my way to Salisbury hospital, where she was being sorted in A&E, high on morphine, she told me that the flight was cool, and the pilot was "a rather good looking chap" !

She's doing ok, although she has a fractured pelvis, and a compressed spine, so won't be home for a while. Should know more later today as she's having a CT Scan some time today.

Never met your good lady, but all the best for a speedy recovery to her!

Never trusted the control systems on those things anyway - worse than cable steeing on a class III boat!

Tony,
Claire fell from her horse five years ago and fractured the base of her spine and ancle, so I know what your good lady is going through. Here's wishing her a speedy recovery and hoping that you can survive on more than beans on toast But take it from me its a good way of loosing weight not having the misses about

She's been measured up for a back brace today, so it looks like she'll be coming home middle of next week, better get the hoover out and the bins emptied.

Found out it was a pheasant from the Sommerly Estate that spooked the horse, I wonder if I can sue Lord Normanton.

Ah ha, see what you were on about now. I can honestly say I've never had one of his pheasants, but me spaniel has a couple a week, plus the odd rabbit, squirrel etc.

Here's a pic of him practising.
