A bit of a nob to post something like that ,I hope for your sake that your identity doesn't come out you yella belly varmint.

p.s Racing needs more teams like team 16 then it might look a bit more profesional and thus move fwd and not back each and every other year , one step fwd five steps back.

All IMHO of course

Hmm, give it time and I'm sure they'll be cutting each others throats!

I'm a bit confused by these remarks though:

"It is crap to suggest that V24 is a turn up and race class.

I learned at LARGS that my 4x4 is not big enough by itself to support the V24."

What is so different about a 24' boat with an out the crate smallblock that you can't just turn up and race? Surely the idea is to turn up at the venue with the boat already prepared and ready to race, so why the need for a mobile workshop?

And how come a 4x4 is not big enough, what on earth do you need to transport that a 2 litre boat or a rib seems capable of doing without?

Oh this is fun to read, nothing like a self destructive feeding frenzy.

Do you know the bit I liked

"we would have the Cardiff situation of having to carry tools. props and other gear several hundred meters to the boat and back.

So two big buch tough powerboat races cant carry there kit 200 Meters, heck how do they have the strength to race, must be like sitting in an armchair those V24. I always found things quite physical.. You can buy a trolly from Machine mart for 45.00

Carefull you might need a vehicle a bit bigger than a 4x4 to get your trolly in.

Unfortunately, my 'bitch' is tiny, and cant carry stuff far.

Besides, you need several 'setups' depending on the weather - The way I drive I *need* every advantage I can get, so one light weight aluminum anchor, one heavy cast iron anchor. One light weight plastic flare box, one stainless steel flare box etc etc...

Then there are the choices of props, and the 60kg of lead ( my bitch is tiny remember ) - or 80 litres of fuel....

And you cant make those decisions in London!

Guys you can beat ya heads all day long we are a great in fighting bunch of people, fact of the matter is there is less representation, less support , less direction for the sport as a whole, promises of free beer tomorrow ect. Don’t do nowt to improve the situation.
Find a topic a direction that everybody can get onboard with and run with it. What & where that is I dunno
If there is a lack of parking pits ect. Its normally the best deal you can get from councils. Push harder and they will shy away & rather fill the car park with holidaymakers. I can recall a time a Fowey loading the damm parking machine for 2 days due to lack of space.
That was the deal you can only play the cards you are dealt sorry to say.
Maybe find a friendly host town and base events there & give up the nomadic culture, might make hosts more appreciative.
Heck I bet in a few years from now there will be a very powerful environmental lobby to oppose and we better have our shite together by then. It should be all for one & one for all and you Environmentalists can pi*s off

Quite agree with you John.

Time for all to be together and get some positive action going.

I'm getting very fed up with so much negative activity - actually feeling very tired with powerboating in general, mainly as a result.
So many people across all the disciplines of the sport not considering things from others perspective I'm afraid.

Although I still love the sport when I'm on the water - especially when engine does not go into guardian mode!

Its someone on ntl broadband "cpc4-farn1-5-0-cust53.glfd.cable.ntl.com" they are located in the Cherwell area. As per the attached map of the trace.

JF you could check through the servers log files to see if the IP address has a match not sure about NTL but with Telewest also Cable Broadband generally the users keep the same IP addresses, rather than dynamically alocated ones.

If anyones really bothered that is !
