Points mean prizes...
got stopped for speading tonight............... in the sound (plymouth), bit of a nightmare all round really, forgot to put the bung in to start with and would have left it had it not been for the 1" of water round my foot throttle, then just when things are going ok police boat pops out from behind drakes island lights flashing arms waving etc etc. To be fair to them he was pretty good, good to know where my tax money is going tho!!

Reason being that "apparently" we get swimmers 400mtrs from the shore in plymouth sound. I guess they will stop the war ships and brittany ferries coming into dock in that case then.

Apparently there's an 8 knot limit in force shoreward of a line drawn from Mountbatten pier to southern tip of Drakes Island to Picklecombe. Got told that years ago by a MOD-Plod who stopped me for speeding in the Tamar. Can't see it on my chart though!
They're normally pretty good in the sound & tend to leave you alone I've found.
Where were you/How fast?
