RSS and Newsreaders

Do any of you guys use RSS feeds? Do you find them useful overall?
If so, which reader do you use?

Ta.

Rarely as a client side tool. I have a google homepage setup with their various plugins I find useful, plus any RSS feeds. I've found it's more useful for embedding a reader into a site to publish an external source into a specific site. I don't do much web stuff any more though, silversurfer or an active web developer will probably have a more current view.

Your thread prompted me to take another look at the google customisations you can do on their homepage integrating a few feeds.

From google homepage, select "iGoogle" button at top right.
This gives you the default iGoogle page, which you can then edit.

Then hit sign in. If you have a google/gmail account alreadt, just provide your login details, otherwise you'll need to hit the "create account now" link.

Once logged in and on the iGoogle page (which should now become your standard google page as long as you allow the google cookie to be saved), you can then select eiether the "Add Stuff" on the right hand side to add feeds etc, or modify the theme (ie the motorbike backdrop on my page) using the "Select Theme" link.

They have a large number of feeds as standard, plus you can add any RSS feeds using the "Add Feed or Gadget" link.

Ribnet for example has an RSS feed at http://www.rib.net/forum/external.php?type=rss2
