SKYPE free international calls!!
I have just discovered this thing called SKYPE! Brilliant! Just get yourself a Janet Jackson headset (4 euros where I live!) and download the SKYPE software from the SKYPE site. I think you have to have Broadband for it to work. Then you can talk to anyone with the same set up for free (assuming you pay a blanket rate for 24 hour access to the net - if you pay as you go then of course it´s not all that!). I´ve gassed for hours to my sis on the IOW and friends in London. The quality of the line is great. To hear through the headset you have to unplug any speaker system from the pc. Of course you have to be online to receive calls, but I urge you all to use it! I´m savin´a fortune on calls!!

The 'inner sanctum' of Boatmad have been Skyping for some time now, very good system.
Whilst in Florida earlier in the year, I was sat on me mates PC (not literally), Skyped up, and received a skype call from a mate, who was in a Jet, flying somewhere over India, he'd been given some free internet time by the airline (wireless) and had managed to get it all working with his laptop. So I was sat in FLA, he was at 37,000 feet over Asia, and we didn't pay a bean for it! 30 mins of talkin bollix about nothing.

If you dont want to stretch to the wireless one we use these at work for own own VOIP network, call quality is great and the pc speaker rings whilst you talk through the headset!

I used SKYPE for a while and internet-2-internet calls are fantastic. Where I've used SKYPEOUT its been rubbish. It may be my ISP but I've given up on that.

Have no problems have you punched the holes in the firewall? Can u allocate QOS (fix bandwidth) to the relevant ports on your firewall?

Was there a jail there or something or why does a boater want to live in the hills not close(?) to water ?
Oh well spaniards and their fabrication skills..guess you´re right.
Im also looking to spent my later days in the Balearic region or Morocco as I feel they are freer to live than USA nowadays and cheaper as servants costs a dime an hour for example.
Seems 10-20 yrs ago USA was also my choice no1 but not with the current administrations course...hell 1994 I was really close to moving to Dade county!
I´m Glad now that I didn´t as the goofups of today won´t be anytime soon corrected.
