Speed camera thingies

Does anyone have a favourite? (waits for a different answer from all who reply!) and most importantly why?

I am aware of the phone version, but it won't work on a Blackberry!

Sold the Holden that had one on the built in GPS, and the VW system doesn't have it on (got a Toerag now). Also what is the best way of getting my tunes from the ITouch into the stereo? I assume it would be a charger / radio transmitter thingy?

The little tomtom wide screen gps is great, is only 125 quid, and comes loaded with the speed camera database.

Or, buy a dedicated 'Road Angel'. http://www.blackspot.com/products/roadangel_PLUS/

Recently updated my tomtom - I've found for fixed sites it's OK, but for mobile sites it's pretty hit & miss.

tickets please

a relative of mine has a friend who is part of the ticket enforcment in london
my fathet in law rang him for advice after getting ticket through post he said that the agency has no procedure for following up no reply,s form outside of uk. so he filled in with a friends correct name etc but sent to a friends house in malaga
they sent a couple more of the same forms and called the registerd car address in uk he said they had visited and used car but more around spain quite a lot house sitting.police then sort of made slight threat about not being able to contact them (sorry officerr) never heard from them again..

i tried same thing in cornwall end of last year.draged on couple months but they gave up the same.

im not suggesting you try fraudulant actions but in cornwall tax[fine evasion
is a matter of pride and 60 quid is a piss take...

The defence you mention is no longer valid, under section 172 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, subsection 172(4), the Registered Keeper of the vehicle will have to prove “reasonable diligence” required under law in identifying the driver of the vehicle at the time of the alleged offence, it is a matter for the Courts to determine if "reasonable diligence" has been exercised... there are two offences here, one is of speeding, the other is not completing the prescribed form under section 172 of the Act identifying the driver. Some folk have sought to invoke the "Human Rights Act" claiming they may incriminate themselves hence removing their ability to remain silent and putting the burden of proof onto the prosecuting authorities but with little effect.

Pash, he's suggesting to utilise a mate who lives overseas as opposed to just ignoring the form.

Ignoring the form I believe still works if you state it is your spouse when hauled in court. Prosecution cannot ask one spouse to incriminate another?????????????????

Anyway shouldn't you be getting on your way for your pikey weekend? Got your lucky heather ready and the daggies loaded up in the transit

Best place for advice about speeding ticket issues is the oddly named pepipoo.com

There's some very good information there.
