The Girls are Back in Town

Had been getting a bit concerned that we hadn't seen our 'chickens' since last Friday.

Four showed up about 1/2 hour ago.

reminds me of survival training, we used white rabbits and your bog standard hens. Demo with "normal" rabbit to 30 starving bootnecks/aircrew then say its now your turn and pull back the cover on 20 little white fluffy bunnies that they had to do! Their faces! it was amazing how many of them stayed hungry instead of "offing" a white bunny!!!

i was one of those bootnecks!
remember it well gave the poor thing a name had to keep hold of it for 2 days it was white (so was the snow in feb ) no sleep etc as i remember we had to give it a clean blow behind its ears to kill it instantly, some chance the bloody thing wriggled all over the place and got a broken nose to start... i got the best tasting stew ever on the planet and nearly a set of fur gloves to match
no wonder i want to start racing!

And to think, the thread started about our tame pheasants.

Stream of consciousness is a remarkable thing.
