Mr Clarkson.......

Why dont we have a "Boatmad" Poker Run down the Thames

Now that would be great fun

Say starting at Wandsworth Bridge and ending up in the Naval Dockyard at Chatham..... I know of a very good eatery there..........

And it would be great fun passing the PLA Patrol Boats

Motivator might even get motivated to get the Revenger out

Look that's a sore point as it was coming back down there that I blew the sunny engines apart. But then you knew that didn't you

Last two three times up there we've had a run in with london vt as they are called and the pillock on the barrier who seem to think there is a speed limit below wandsworth. Cue loads of bollocks over the vhf and them being told if the police can catch us they are welcome to a chat. Having checked legalities with the pla / coastguard first of course.

Can be a great run as long as you time it right past canvey point. Catch that wind against tide and you will be wet / sunk

I reckon I could muster a dozen or more that would be interested in say parking up friday night in st cats and visiting a bar or two that may or may not have those dancing women then run out to chatham on saturday.

The marina itself caters well for parties with a huge covered barbie area with no less than six barbies for anyones use.

I could even organise the lad's band over there and make a real event out of it.

Did I hear Clarkson mention a SeaRay speedo?

What you should do Mr Tricky is write to Clarkson telling him that he cant do 75 in that boat and then offer him a ride in your V24, a proper racing boat!

TBH we tend to get some good days early in the year now which I am reliably informed is due solely to me possessing 3 V8s and 2V6s. Google 'Gordon - Fuel Taxation - Global World Disaster - Those bastards with the toys' for clarification

I have it on my hard drive, I suppose we could have it in the gallery section (media site) if there's enough interest.

Ok Darren,

I'll organise it this end and I'll leave it to Pash1 to talk the southerners into it.

Guess we ought to start a new thread once we decide a date. Any weekends in April to avoid?

First weekend in April - ITS THE END OF THE TAX YEAR

so Motivator and myself will be out of the country (for tax reasons you understand)

So my Ol Shipmate looks like we have at least 15 boats interested and with some dates no doubt we could improve on that

Jon F are you up for it??
Blinddog?
Mat?
Numnuts?
Dan?
Burty?
Gaz? (Bring the new Sequal)
Gazza? (If you have a boat by then - im still looking !!!)

Will Start a new thread tonight and see how much interest we get
