Torkin Bollix

With a thread section entitled Torkin Bollix I thought this fitted so well.
http://www.rib.net/forum/f8/round-ir...ase-57780.html

and a quote taken from post No 76 in reply to all the criticism -

'with a new layup structure and weight distribution the A600 can achieve speeds of over 48knots, out performing many phantoms and hard sports boats of a similar size in a recent Poker Run'

Hmm given ideal sea conditions for both.. Phantom hands down, but having seen it perform on the poker run out in the estuary where I only saw a handful of other boats come out that far, it was possible to see it being helmed under much more comfort than the others were taking it... Not sure out performing is the right word, but I know where I'd rather be sitting at speed in rough conditions.

Speaking from the view out of Swipewipes, the only other boat that went as far into the estuary as us (and that wasn't far, as we found ourselves 'alone', so it seemed pointless) was the Fletcher 17 Arrowbeau, and to a slightly lesser extent the P20 & P23 of Andy & Ross Mac (proving they're both gay), so I didn't see the A600 'perform' in the rough at all.

I Assumed he stayed in the shelter of the river in case it popped & sank.

+1 with that comment. Although I didn't see the fletcher,so thought it pointless to try and dual with Swipes in the rough.
