What's up with my Internet Explorer

I got problem with my IE 5.5 on my office desktop PC

When use my laptop and i go to websites such as Boatmad the text on the screen apprears as intended by the web site creator.

But

When I used my desktop PC the text font is different and larger making some websites almost unreadable.

I have looked in the IE help menu's but I have not been able to put it right.

If you are in I.T and know exactly what problem is your help would be appreciated.

I have a problem with Outlook Express !

Whenever I try to open an attachment, it always tries to open files with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. If its a picture - no problem, but for documents etc, no joy. It always used to use the most appropriate programme for the attachment. I must have changed some setting somewhere, but cant seem to find what to get it back how I would like it.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks.

Save the file to your hard drive - easiest to save to the desktop the right click and choose open with - will give you a long list of programmes and simply chose which you want to open it with word for docs etc. Hope this helps.

If the pc was opening files with the wrong program can be solved by going into the file types menu in my computer.

Open MY COMPUTER
use the TOOLS/FOLDER OPTIONS drop down menu at the top

click on the FILE TYPES tab and then find and select the type of files/file extensions you are have problems opening.

Once selected you can either change the program that opens those file types or delete them.

If you delete them when you next try and open them the computer will ask you what program you want to use, select the right program from the list and tick the box the says "Always use this program to open this type of file"
