Glad to see someone has read the 2011 rule book already, makes all the hours i spent editing it worthwhile, yet no doubt still not perfect !!! but we try.
Yes you are correct Gary, some rather intersting results from Belgian Tests carried out in a pool, we are just watching and waiting for now but thought it a good idea to insert an advisory notice in the rule book now.
It is potentially VERY difficult ( dangerous) to specify a particular manufacturer in the rules for safety wear, more likely to be regarding performance / kilo rating/ kite mark/approved by etc, but nearly all have disclaimers printed inside.
Dont all panic just buy authentic approved merchandise, its still not a lot of money to potentially save your life, same for skiers helmets, some better than others, buy the best. Talk to your fellow competitors or better still your Team Captain, Daren Kirkland.

Just a suggestion, buy a boyancy aid, take the boyancy out and sew it into a wetsuit. The boyancy has already beed tested right? May need some more thought!

Took my suite in to warmback today and had a chat, my suite is being cut up as a template and after some chatting made a few ajustments,new strap positions clips for neck brace etc.... mine will be ready in a week or too, will post pics and anyone else interested can contact him direct to place orders. he wont take any orders until he got this one right...ASH.
