i know they have much much better wheather than us ,but i cant help but think ,what happens when those motors get wet , especialy down the air intake,but in a lake in the desert i guess they never do ,lucky buggers

I agree, but when I spoke to one of the team in Longbeach and asked him why, he said because we can.

He had a similar one running at the last World Championships, only pulled a lady that time, he is currently pulling a Belgium Skier Filip Vervecken in the NWSRA Marathon Races in America, last time I checked he was lying in 2nd place.

I asked the same question in Longbeach at the last world championships, the answer was that they allow air to be drawn down to the props to aid the pull out, the twin inboard had a compressed air tank onboard that pumped a bubble of air round the props for the same reason. If anybody knows better feel free to comment.
