Worlds waterski race championships Tenerife 2013

Just got back from Tenerife after watching the fist few rounds. GB team holding there own respectively but have been hampered by injury in f1 f2 and junior girls. Hard and fast conditions are really testing our GB team.
There are some great videos on skirace.net to show what they are up against.
Check out these 1000hp pluss boats pulling skiers.....

Hi Ash
Does that mean that our races or training conditions are not hard enough to cut it at world level or do you think that people competing are not conditioned enough?
Neither comments are aimed to be negative, I know first hand how hard the sport is just wondered why we are not competitive at world level??

Thumbs up conditions

Alright si,
i know in f2 most of the other f2 skires normaly ski f1 in their respective countries. Our f2 boys skiied there asses off as did everyone else, hard to put down in words but mate they were going really well, i think in respect to everyone who skied on the GB team they skied really well. Condition were weird, chop no real pattern to speak of with a swell rolling. From my experience i think i would of popped up the top corner somewhere and had a kitcat and waited for the blue flag........ looked bloody killer leg zapping water. I take my hat off to all that skied. Fair play and well done
