Model outdrives
Hi thanks for the enquiry I have five of these drives on my boats They are very good once they have all been modified I have put drilling through the drives so they are filled with oil instead of grease makes a massive difference I can get these drives but you will pay round about £450-£500 Let me know if you would like any I can also get the little mini hydraulic rams for the steering But they are cable driven And work and look very good

So that is approx 1 grands worth of miniture outdrives on the back of that. Wow Cool as they are, I could not justify the cost of them.

Opinion on outdrives opposed to straight drives
Well I have run both versions i prefer that outdrives for the looks and slow removability But you do lose a little bit of speed approximately 2 miles on 50 mph And definitely don't handle as well as a straight drive But if you get it right you could possibly get more speed If you can get The prop accurate what's the right motor Because I'm running 10 hp brushless motors It really doesn't affect The speed As the motors have so much power and don't lose it And the outdrives are 16% higher on the output So this can help quite a lot with speed But yet again only any good if you're doing straight line runs If you want to do circuit racing then just forget it You won't make it round the first bend without being upside down Not saying it won't go round corners but it will if you slow down To a sensible speed something like 30 I'm currently running 55 to 60 With one of these drives But you must do the modifications fast to the drives Or you will blow them straight up For anybody which is reading this if you have any of these drives and you're not happy with them I would be very interested in buying them In working condition or not anything considered even if you just got parts please let me know Hope this This information puts you guys right on what you was wondering Many thanks Keith
